So, I was reading the official Tumblr blog of The Spine just now, and when browsing through the pages, I come across this ask:
" What made you and the other robots decide to start a band after the war?”
What was The Spine’s answer to this question?
" That was not our decision.
We were not capable of “deciding” much in our infancy.
Not due to oppression or anything like that, but due to our underdeveloped minds”
So I was all “meh cool story brobot” for a moment.
Then it hit me.
When they began performing, they were in their “infancy”—basically, they were essentially children—emotionally and mentally—when they started their band. Words from the horse’s mouth.
They only started their musical act after fighting in a gruesome and horrendous war.
Which meansthey were even younger during the war.
Which means the robots were child soldiers oh dear sweet Jeebus.
::thinks about Rabbit screaming “Pappy! Pappy!” and The Spine begging him to get up during their PTSD bootup attack during “The Malfunction” and promptly curls up in a corner, sobbing her eyes out::
(Oh yeah, and an addendum based on my knowledge of WRX: child soldiers laced with bombs as a last resort.)
